Bio

A former sports reporter, this unique solo artist is now reaching audiences with his musical talent.

He self-released his first studio album in February 2012 "Dive Without Looking"--a collection of 10 of his original songs that range from intimate spiritual ballads to dance hits.

One of the most unique things about Trimble is his range of skills. His previous career as a sports reporter has helped him become a polished speaker that can entertain, inspire or challenge an audience even when the music stops. When the music is on, it's a unique experience. His vocal style and range can adjust to a variety of music genres and he has an unusual ability to seamlessly adapt to the age group and culture that make up his audience. Aside from writing his own music, he plays the piano, keys and guitar.

Being from Detroit, Trimble points to Motown as a heavy influence on his music. Artists like Stevie Wonder, the Jackson 5, and the Temptations are all artists that he has admired in his development. Others of his favorite artists are Maroon 5, Needtobreathe, Eric Hutchinson, and White Stripes.

"I'm not quite sure who I sound like. Everyone kind of says something different, but I try not to sound like anyone," Trimble said. "The most important thing to me is originality and trying not to make everything sound the same."

But his music career is not just about selling albums. While he does consider himself a Christian artist, he says that his main message is that of joy, happiness, and fulfillment in life with the underlying message that all those things are found in Christ.

"A lot of my music is just about having a good time, laughing and living a happy life--something the world will always need to hear," he says. "But I know what I believe, too. I know where my joy comes from and I want my music to help others discover that."

He is also the worship director at a church plant in Detroit, MI called New Generations Church.
