Caro brings her lonesome, intricate songs to life on her debut single, “Caro”. Featuring lush and surprising instrumentation, Caro delivers a new and unique perspective to the solo singer-songwriter genre.
Born outside Detroit, Michigan, Caro picked up guitar by playing folk songs at a camp nestled on the coast of Arbutus Lake in northern Michigan. After moving to Austin, Texas, Caro attended the University of Texas’ Austin Live Music Academy and began crafting the songs that would become her debut single. Prominent producer and ALMA instructor, Stephen Doster, immediately liked what he heard and offered to produce her first record. “Caro” is the fruit of that labor and features graceful melodies woven expertly between complex and literate lyrics.
Featuring sitar and acoustic guitar, “Caro,” and the artist herself, combines the warmth of 70’s folk with a stinging, modern, melodic honesty. On her first single, Caro proves herself an up-and-coming force in the Texas songwriter scene.
