Chitin ( Pro: Kite-In ) was formed by founding member Neil "Lotek" Genslinger autumn of 2012. The musical style the Baltimore, Maryland based band performs is a fusion of Metal, Hardcore, Punk, and Industrial which is branded Anti-Core by Lotek. There are many different influences that fuel their unique sound which include but are not limited to current events, politics, media, religion, and the never ending random occurrences in life. Live performances by Chitin are a non-stop gritty visceral assault on the senses from beginning to end. They have had performances in Baltimore and it's surrounding areas, Philadelphia, Richmond, and Wilmington. Notable bands they have played with include 3Teeth, Cyanotic, iVardensphere, Hanzel und Gretyl, Genitorturers, and My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult.
