Bio
Chris grew up in St.
Louis, Missouri and began playing piano at the age of seven. He began playing classical music and progressed to playing the organ at his local
church by the age of 10. In high school, Chris was introduced to jazz and joined
his high school jazz band. In his junior year, he received the award for
"Best Soloist" at a local High School Jazz Band Competition, and also
received the "Louie Armstrong Jazz Award" his senior year.
Chris began studying jazz performance at the University of Denver in 2006. He
studied under renowned pianist Eric Gunnison for four years, while playing in
all different types of bands. He has written over thirty original compositions
that he has been performing across the entire Colorado area for the past ten years.
He is also involved with multiple different funk, rock, hip-hop, wedding and
cover bands that perform all over Colorado on a regular basis.
Chris is currently playing with: Jaden Carlson Band, Synthlordz, Fluxus, Boom Town, Rajdulari Music, The Becktet, Jacob Larson Band, and the Diamond Empire Band.
