The Berks County area rock band Cicada Safespace makes their full
length debut with Tertiary, a shoegazey yet energetic rock odyssey.
Every song builds, thrusts, and smolders with intensity. The band was
founded as a duo between guitarist/vocalist Graham and drummer
Dave, and the interplay between the riffs and the grooves make each
song feel tight and emotive. The record sounds big; guitar tones are
fuzzed to oblivion, the drums sound big and far away, like a mountain
range. 'Mrathon' and it's intro track, '(G)listen', are amazing; it starts off
as a set of bright, interlocking guitar arpeggios before breaking into the
brooding banger that is 'Mrathon'- a guitar fuzz dreamworld with
punishing and up-tempo drumming. The vocals are mournful; Graham
has a dark, grungey voice and it floats just atop the sea of the
instrumental. This is a great debut; keep an eye on Cicada Safespace. - WCHE - The Talk of Chester County!

Cicada Safespace is an alternative shoegaze trio based in Kutztown, PA that makes loud, melodic music. Their sound is both energetic and dynamic, weaving catchy pop driven hooks with softer instrumentals and vocals. The band can also perform as an acoustic solo/duo act! Instagram: @Cicadasafespace
