Who is Cicely O'kain?
She is a singer and actress, whose style incorporates House, EDM, Inspirational, Soul and Hip Hop music. This songbird is dedicated to accomplishing her goals and dreams. Singing since the age of two, the Denver, CO native was raised in Park Hill by her grandmother. Cicely’s musical influences include Chaka Khan, Yolanda Adams, Donnie Hathaway, Whitney Houston, and Beyonce.
Cicely had the opportunity to sing the National Anthem for the National Champion Denver Broncos on August 20, 2016 in front of a crowd of 75,000. More recently, Cicely had the awesome opportunity to do a video shoot, singing background vocals, with "Chance The Rapper" @The Fillmore in Denver, Co.
Cicely has performed at various Colorado venues, including the Blue Bird Theater, Ophelia’s Electric Soap Box, and @ the Winter Park Jazz Festival in Winter Park, CO just to name a few.
Cicely released an electrifying dance EP entitled, "Like Bass" 1/15/2016. The single “Like Bass”, is currently being Considered for a 2017 Grammy Nomination in the category of “Best Dance Recording”
Cicely O'kain is currently on tour, promoting the "Like Bass" EP and her new Hip Hop driven single, "Livin LIfe". While on tour, she has had the honor of opening for soulful duo, Floetry at the Sokol Auditorium in Omaha, NE , Hip Hop singer, Dej Loaf at the Roseland Theater in Portland, OR, and Musical Legend George Clinton in Omaha Ne
Cicely's single, "Self Letter" released 3/9/2015, and has recieved over 35,000 Youtube views; 60,000 views worldwide. The Cicely O'kain Pandora station has over 150,000 streams. "Self Letter" speaks to Cicely’s own self-discovery and is a song that has inspired and empowered many. "I want to make the world feel good about itself again." states Cicely, who feels she has the voice, life experience and message to make a difference.
