Daniel Michael Ramjattan

Daniel Ramjattan has performed on the classical guitar since the age of 10 years old.  A left-handed guitarist, he is becoming increasingly known in Canada for his passionate performances and fiery technique.

In 2012, he
received the second place prize at the National Level of the Canadian Music Competition, and
in 2013 won the Concours de Guitar Outaouais-Gatineau. He has also
received the 2013 Domaine Forget International Music Academy guitar scholarship, as well as the second
place medal in the Open Level of the Ontario Provincial Guitar competition.

Daniel has received lessons and masterclasses from some of the best guitarists and in the world, including
Lorenzo Micheli, Fabio Zanon, and Jerome Ducharme. Daniel has a particular interest in performing new works for guitar, and enjoys playing genre-bending pieces from new composers.
