Darnell Hill

Darnell Hill was born on March 1, 1996, in Dallas, TX.  At a very young age, he displayed a passion for music and singing. Darnell also has a love and passion for Jesus Christ. He is and always has been a very active proud member of his home church, The Inspiring Body of Christ Church, where the honorable Pastor Rickie G. Rush is the founder and Senior Pastor. Serving in the Youth, Men’s and Mass choirs, he has had the opportunity to develop his solo talents and abilities. Also, which has allowed him to mature in and experience performing and ministering on a very high level. Darnell is not just a singer but he is also a talented songwriter. He writes his music and also plays the piano.

As a teenager, Darnell attended Cedar Hill High School, where he graduated with the class of 2014. He wasn’t known as a singer/songwriter back then. But, a superstar football player on the field. This was one of his biggest dreams he had as a little boy. During his junior year, Darnell had a season-ending injury that set him back on the road to a Division 1 program. His following senior season was great! He helped led the team to win the 2014 Texas State Championship. He was also inducted into the Texas High School Coaches Association’s Hall of Honor for All-Star Athletes. He soon graduated and earned a scholarship to Harding University located in Searcy, Arkansas. Where he played college football from 2015-2016. Darnell’s sophomore year is when he transferred to a Junior College in Oklahoma, where had a chance to start over in the football world. It was then he decided that football wasn’t what he loved to. But, that was not the end of his purpose there. He ended up meeting a friend in college that was into music just like he was. He asked Darnell to feature on one of his projects, and the rest is history. 

Darnell moved back to Texas in 2017 after finding his newfound passion for music. Shortly thereafter, in 2018 he started working for his church, at The University of Dreams, where he helped develop the children’s athletic ability, character, conduct, and conversation. Just as he had been taught there.  He decided to give his music talent another try. Through many lessons and let downs, along with discouragement and people doubting! He kept believing in what God had for him. Fast forward to 2019, Darnell ended up meeting his now producer/co-manager, Louis a/k/a “DJ T-Spoon” at church. After months of trying to convince T-Spoon that he was serious about his dedication to the craft, T-Spoon challenged him with a phenomenal instrumental track.  We know now the finished product as “Don’t Lie”. As Darnell felt it in his heart, the song turned out to be a hit that they both are proud of.  The dynamic duo will drop the single to the public this Fall. With his video to follow soon after.

Darnell Hill is bringing back that smooth R&B soulful sound with a mixture of hip hop, old school, and gospel. His music is something to look forward to. With his God-given ability, maturity and awareness, nothing can stop his vision!
