"INTERVIEW"

Give us some background info as to who you are.

I am D.I.E.S.E. Game from Rochester NY. However, I am representing all of New York City, and New York State. I am a SOLO artist and CEO of my own company ROC-YO-SET Entertainment.

What sets you apart from other aspiring rappers?

My drive and my hunger to be successful is what sets me apart from other aspiring rappers. I have been making and writing music for over ten years.

What is the philosophy by which you live by?

I am a chance taker and a gambling man. I live by the rules of the dice just like my name, D.I.E.S.E. Game.

Which artists have inspired you?

Notorious BIG, Jay Z, Boot Camp Clik, and Nas

Who does your production?

Besides my own group 'Da Epidemic," I have got beats from a couple of producers in Rochester.

What is your opinion of the current state of Hip Hop?

The positive thing is Kanye West and 50 Cent releasing their LP's on the same day. That is a big boost to real artist like myself to show Hip Hop is still alive and well and still moving records. Other than that, I am not really feelin' a lot of the music getting released or many of the new artist coming today. Most of the artist with their one or two hit singles only have those songs that are decent on there entire CD. There are too many gimmick rappers out there today I feel.

If you can change one thing about the music industry what would it be and why?

The thing I would change would be more about the love instead of the money. True, this industry is a business but at the same time there are real artist out there like myself that love making music. I feel artist should be getting signed based on talent like they are use to, not just because they have more money than the next man or more connections than a guy with real talent.

Do you go into the studio with prewritten rhymes and themes or do you hear the beat first and write then and there?

Most of the time I get a beat first and then come up with the rhyme and theme. However, there are some times when I go into the studio with prewritten rhyme or a theme.

What can we expect from you within the next 5 years?

In the next five years, you can expect to see me as an established artist, with an established record label, a film company and investing in a law firm to help out the "little" people in entertainment or the criminal justice system.

Any emcees or groups would you like to collaborate with in the future?

I would like to collaborate with Fat Joe, The Lox, Busta Rhymes, or Three Six Mafia.

What producer would you like to collaborate with in the future?

It would defiantly be Kanye West or Dre.

What is your favorite movie and favorite book?

Movies: Goodfellas and Ray
Book: I'm into all types of books, but I can't pinpoint a favorite.

What are some major misconceptions that you think people have of you?

Honestly, I don't really care what people think of me anymore. Just as along as they listen to my music.

What is your favorite part of your live show? How has it evolved?

Just being in front of a large crowd and they respond to my music. When the crowd shows me love and watches me perform that is the best feeling for me. My performance has evolved because as an underground artist when you perform you have to do songs that get the crowd involved. Now, at least one of the track that I perform is going to get the crowd hype and involved in the song.

What is your LP going to be like?

Well, the LP I am releasing at the moment is a soundtrack to my DVD. "The Life of A True Artist." It has twelve tracks and it will only be available by phone, on my website, and of course floating around in the underground market.

My official album 'The Myth and The Makin' of A Legend" won't be available until early next year. Everything I bring out is the best in lyrics and production you can find on the market. The only different between my music and others artist music is that these artist have big budget labels behind them I'm doing it by myself.

What is your website?

Any final words for the people.
