driftr is a modern blend of authenticity, soul and quality production that seeks to illuminate the peaks and development of the human condition. Combining hip-hop and soul music with acoustic and electronic elements, the resulting sound is thoughtful, genuine and intelligent, with traces of grit. Veteran musicians of a vibrant artistic community, driftr journeys through an open ended trek with their intricate compositions and seductive, straightforward vocals. With each musician hailing from separate musical stomping grounds, yet clearly unified in influence and execution, driftr writes no two songs to be the same. Timbres wander & synths wobble. Compelling vocal-flows anchor themselves firmly at the core of each track, while lush guitar fluently embellishes a reminiscent tune. Teaming up with Alea Rain, a longtime friend and LA-based artistic director, performer and choreographer, the music gains a heightened holistic and sensual touch unique in it’s field.
