"Shannon Lee Hayden/!mindparade/Fluffer Live! At The Bluebird"

Closing the show was Fluffer, a Bloomington-based psychedelic rock group who is (in my opinion) underexposed. Despite the lack of bar-goers in the venue, Fluffer played enthusiastically, and introduced musical elements such as a drum pad, that one would not necessarily associate with psych-rock. They introduced a few new songs, which were met with positive reception from the audience, and even brought Hayden back onstage to do some guitar work (She could really shred for someone classically trained in the cello). Fluffer played well, and the best (which is to say my personal favorite) aspect of their performance was how happy they seemed onstage. The trio joked around and provided a very relaxed and positive atmosphere in which it was easy to enjoy the music they played. - WIUX-LP Bloomington

"Midwest Is Best: Seven Promising Artists From The Rising Midwest Music Scene"

Fluffer does not sound like anything you’ve ever heard before - they are an innovative heavy dance-rock trio from Cincinnati. Mixing explosive math-rock with trap beats and auto-tuned vocals, the band somehow crafts coherence from chaos; breeding strange and danceable super-pop, Fluffer are famous for their unbelievable live show - an affair which is likely to erupt into a dance party and rightly so. Their newest EP, titled OwlPAtDan, is full of vibrant, genre-defying doozies. “Dolla” and “Halle” find the band at their best, harnessing the energy of their gigs and creating expansive pop oddities. Fluffer is one of the most notable and under-appreciated bands in the midwest. - The Alternative

"Meet Me Halfway: The Story So Far"

FLUFFER - OwlPatDan
Again, a sophomore release, this time from Cincinnati, and my pick for best of the year. Big, prog, maximalist, loud dance rock, with plodding, busy drums and a singer that sounds like the guy from Mew or MGMT. Call it organic bigbeat techno. Try not to move. Just try, I doubledog dare you. - Coconut Times

"Nah Collective Spends a Weekend at Ottawa Tavern"

Playing energetic pop with dance-rock sensibilities, Fluffer's charisma is based on being as intelligent as they are fun. Both the lyrics and music are brilliantly arranged to be both intricate and easily digestible, skyrocketing their likeability. - Toledo.com

Bio

"Fluffer is an electronic dance-rock trio whose sound is evolving into increasingly uncharted territory..."

Based in Cincinnati, OH, Fluffer has quickly made a name for themselves by combining blinding psychedelic flavors with a propulsive and kinetic rhythm section. Drawing comparisons to Deerhoof, Battles, and Tame Impala, Fluffer has become renowned for their live show expeience, both amongst a growing fan base and press accolades. Fluffer has played over 180 shows and has toured extensively throughout the eastern and southern United States and Canada.

The summer of 2013 saw Fluffer release their debut album Skopsi and undergo a radical change to their sound. Increasingly inspired by the recent Glasgow maximalism and the intricacies of trap music, the group began using extensive electronics as they moved into deeper beat driven areas.  Since then, the group has released two EPs: Crusader/Destroyer (2014) and OwLPatDan (2015).  Their newest full-length release, Fluffer, is slated to be released early 2016.
