Bio
Friend of a Friend met through a mutual friend. They spent 10 years running into one another, never thinking twice about the other until a variety of circumstances aligned in the summer of 2020, wherein they began writing and playing music together. Brought together by a love of haunting chord progressions and melodic, languished, rhythmic soundscapes, the duo soon discovered their shared love of extreme sun, long drives and sneaking into hotel swimming pools.
Their sound is difficult to define, they play with a classical flamenco guitar but trigger electronics, they embrace classic rhyming couplets but disregard their expected phrasing. The result is a familiar yet striking sonic experience with references to folk, electronic, rock and world music that lives in a universe of its own making.
