"Southern Hospitality Premiere: Oochie – ‘DewPrint 2′ (Mixtape)"

Southern Hospitality is proud to premiere the latest mixtape from Washington, DC’s Oochie, member of Fat Trel’s Slutty Boyz collective and one of our absolute favourite rappers of the moment.

Featuring guest appearances from Yung Gleesh, BoosaDaShoota and Trel himself, ‘Dew Print 2′ is a more than worthy follow up to the first instalment, and more testament to the fact that Oochie is one of the most exciting voices in rap let alone the fertile grounds of DC.

We truly hope you enjoy. - Davey Boy Smith

Bio

Rap artist Oochie, born Nathaniel Shepherd in Washington, DC May 6, 1990, grew up among a musically inclined family. The youngest of 5 siblings, he showed the ability to naturally captivate people just by his personally, though he would pick up on music much later in his childhood. Raised by a single mother dealing with many personal tragedies, Shepherd struggled to make it through high school but in 2008 he managed to graduate and go off to college at Cheyney University in Pennsylvania. Even though he showed much potential in sports and academics as a elementary education major, Shepherd did not return to college after his freshman year but began to be widely noticed for rap music he created on his free time on campus. Once returning home to DC Shepherd had to quickly adapt to the real world and to decide if music really was what he wanted to dew with his life, and he did. After one feature on his new rap comrads' Sluttyboyz debut mixtape 'Chu Dont Dew' and being featured in the video for a freestyle remix to the song 'Wonton Soup', which would rack up half a million views on youtube, the demand for him to make more music was extremely clear. The concept of the mixtape would go on to define the style of DC's new generation of artists and create a movement recognized all around the world and online. Being a large contributor to this new movement's style and swag, Oochie's career continues to develops as his fan base online and especially in the DMV area grows at a rapid rate.
