Jay Friedman is an award-winning writer, speaker, sex educator and provocateur. He travels full-time on the college lecture circuit, currently touring his lecture performance entitled Sexy Feast: What Our Favorite Foods Teach Us About Sex. Through hundreds of lectures Friedman has captivated thousands of students around North America and the world with his insights and outbursts on sex and relationships. Additionally, he is a multi-year nominee as “Lecturer of the Year” by the National Association for Campus Activities.

Friedman did his undergraduate work at Cornell University, and received a Master of Education degree from the University of Vermont. He has authored impassioned articles about a variety of sexuality issues—including a national award-winning piece in the Journal of American College Health—as well as a curriculum for Cornell University's male sexuality peer education program entitled How to Be a Better Lover. Friedman was also a writer and advice columnist as the resident “sexpert” for a health and wellness website. He is a professional sex educator—certified by the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists.

In addition to being a sex educator, Friedman is a food writer and restaurant reviewer.
