After 20 yrs as a sound engineer and producer with over 30 albums, I finally had the courage to record my own music. Help me share my music with the World.

Bio

Juan R.Wust began playing guitar at age ten. He quickly developed an interest in classical style as well as the pop music of his childhood in Cuba in the sixties, such as the Beatles and other rock and folk groups, which were
being heard in Havana. Political difficulties kept him out of the conservatory yet his passion for the instrument led him to seek instruction outside conventional routes.
In August of 1996, Juan opened Soundarts Recording Studios in Jersey City, where he continued to advance his musical skills and opened the door to recording and producing. Having established himself as a recording
engineer, he worked on over 25 albums in various genres. His clients include
renowned artists such as Celia Cruz, Tito Puente, Johnny Pacheco, Chucho Valdez, Paquito D’Rivera, Juan Pablo Torrez, Oriente Lopez, Danny Rivera, and Obie Bermudez, among many others.
The album production and arrangements by the multi-talented pianist and composer, Manuel Valera brought Juan’s work to a whole new level. Manuel contributed two compositions to the project, and skillfully integrated complex harmonies and improvisations to every piece. He sought out a group of talented musicians who were able to beautifully render his arrangements and Juan's vision.

Juan’s album musical roster features:

Manuel Valera on piano, Rhodes, and keyboards.

Grammy winner Felipe Lamoglia on tenor and soprano saxophones along with Joel Frahm on soprano saxophone.

Grammy winner and critically acclaimed violinist Federico Britos Ruiz along with Jorge Carlos Oviedo on viola and Arthur Abney on cello.

Drummer Ernesto Simpson performance is complimented by percussionists Pedrito Martinez and Samuel Torres.

Bassists John Benitez and Armando Gola contributed their magic touch.
