"Someone's brilliantly reimagined Limp Bizkit's Break Stuff as an emotional piano ballad - and it's officially Fred Durst-approved"

Someone's brilliantly reimagined Limp Bizkit's Break Stuff as an emotional piano ballad - and it's officially Fred Durst-approved - Metal Hammer

"FRED DURST Approves Of "Break Stuff" As A Piano Ballad"

What if Limp Bizkit's angsty-as-hell 1999 track "Break Stuff" was actually a heartfelt piano ballad? Musician JustJoeSyracuse reimagined the track as exactly that, and it's… well it's still angry, but at least it's quieter. The cover also caught the ear of Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst who commented a musicial notation emoji and a UFO emoji. Which we're assuming means he approves. - Metal Injection

"HEAR LIMP BIZKIT'S "BREAK STUFF" COVERED AS A ROMANTIC BALLAD"

Enter musician and TikTok personality Joe Altier, who has previously posted reimaginative takes on rock and metal classics such as Dio's "Holy Diver" and Danzig's "Mother." He recently flipped "Break Stuff" into a weepy ballad and even Durst himself approves. - Revolver

"Syracuse musician turns Limp Bizkit’s ‘Break Stuff’ into a piano ballad with Fred Durst’s approval"

That’s the question Just Joe asked as he sat down at a piano, performing the 1999 nu-metal song with a tenderness equal to the anger in Fred Durst’s voice more than two decades ago. The result is a haunting cover that would fit the soundtrack for “Deadpool 3″ or a Jordan Peele movie. - Syracuse.com

Along with being really talented, Joe has covered a variety of metal songs using his piano! - The Pit

Bio

I run, own and operate my own business, which is me. I am a solo musician with 20 plus years of stage, studio and industry experience. I book my own shows, manage my own business affairs, handle my own marketing and social media and am my own roadie. I am also am the singer for the hard rock band Brand New Sin which was signed to two record deals and toured extensively between the years 2002-2008 when we were an active band. We were featured on MTV shows such as Viva La Bam and Homewreckers, had a small cameo in the Jack Black movie, SCHOOL OF ROCK. The band and I are also the music and VOICE behind the iconic WWE entrance theme for wrestler, BIG SHOW.

Since 2002 I have played over 3000 shows all over the United States, Canada and the UK and prior to the pandemic I was playing 300 plus shows a year around the Upstate NY area (bars, restaurants, concert venues, weddings, parties and anything that required music).

When the pandemic hit I quickly pivoted my music career to become a full time streamer on Twitch and gained quick success, which led to success on other social media sites such as TikTok and Instagram. I did my first full US tour in 2022 as a solo artist opening for the internet sensation band, HALOCENE which led to even more doors opening. Now as the shows are coming back I am playing more shows and pushing myself to evolve once again as a musician/business owner/entrepreneur.

Since 2002, I have released 8 full length original albums, 3 live albums, 4 EPs and countless singles with my band, other projects and solo project. In 2022 alone I released 25 new singles.

I bring a LOT of real world music industry and performance to the table. I am excited to see where the next 20 years of my career take me. Let's see what is next!
