Kairos (καιρός) noun
An Ancient Greek word meaning the right, critical, or opportune moment
Similar to it’s ancient roots in history, this Greek word is the foundation to what defines Boston DJ/Producer KAIRO5. Despite having developed a lifetime of musical ability through years of instrument lessons, performing in multiple bands, and DJing at college parties, the musician eventually found himself in a “rock bottom” mentality. One day while in this depressed state, he finally realized how to break out of the rut he was in: learn music production and get serious about developing his own career. In this most critical and essential moment, KAIRO5 was born.
Since then, KAIRO5 has achieved exactly what he set out to do. Over the last four years, the artist has released a collection of original and remixed material on his SoundCloud that has generated over 20,000 plays to date. His debut EP, Cathexis, was released in February 2020 and has already started generating a buzz online. He has also gained a notable following on MixCloud through his KAIROKAST radio show that has constantly charted on multiple MixCloud genres, racking up over 3,000 plays and 2,000 followers. He also occasionally does special guest mixes.
Despite these accomplishments, KAIRO5 has no intention of slowing down. He is always setting new goals, working on getting in front of fresh faces and reaching new heights in 2020.
