"Kassidy Lynne releases Incredible new single, Diamond"

Country-pop singer-songwriter Kassidy Lynne, has released her brand new catchy single “Diamond”!

I love how this song features a very positive message about how you should not let anyone bring you down or let them write the chapters of your story. In the end we should be the only one’s who write our destiny & be who we really are.

I feel that song is a beautiful match for Kassidy’s angelic & emotional voice because I feel that she is able to create a pure connection between the emotional elements within her voice & the purity of the lyrics.

One thing that I love about Kassidy’s music is that she is able to use her unique vocal texture & create songs that bring out the amazing elements within her voice. I honestly know it won’t be long before we see this talented lady at the top of the charts! - Fierce & Fabulous

This is a great, upbeat slice of country pop and listening to Kassidy’s vocals, you’ll need to double check her age, such is the maturity in her voice. Listen out for Kassidy Lynne – it’s a name that I’m sure you’ll be hearing a lot more from. - Belles & Gals

"Kassidy Lynne talks to TMI What inspired her to start her music career"

What inspired you to start your music career?

Well, when I was younger, just like any other 10 year old girl, I really wanted to be Hannah Montana and have my own show because I grew up watching her. I pretty much sang non-stop to the point of being annoying. Then I got to middle school and was bullied quite a bit so Taylor Swift was my go to person. Listening to her music I didn’t feel so alone, she is a very personable songwriter and knew what it was like being a teenager. Ever since, I have wanted to be that songwriter that others looked up to like Taylor was for me. I want to be an inspiration and to mentor people as well as be a good influence.

Did you have a break out song that started things for you?

“Carolina Water” was my EP I released in 2015 when I was 15. It pretty much has opened some doors for me to put me where I am now. The song titled, “Carolina Water” also won an HMMA (Hollywood Music and Media Award) in 2017 which I still can’t believe I won out of all the talented nominee’s in my category. Carolina Water has also been nominated for many other awards as well as it is being played on some internet radio.

Your latest single “Baby Just Cruise” received a lot of support from your supporters. How did the idea for this song come about?

Actually the idea came up because I had recently gotten a truck for my 16th birthday so I really wanted to write a song about it! My co- writers and I wanted to make it fun, upbeat and personable so we decided to create a story around it and of course had to add a boy!

Can you tell us the meaning behind the name “Baby Just Cruise” ?

“Baby Just Cruise” is basically just as it says, the song is dreaming about cruising down the road in a truck with your boyfriend/girlfriend or the person you want to be with! The music video perfectly displays what the storyline of the song portrays, so make sure you go watch it on YouTube to see the story unfold!

Any fun moments while creating the song?

There isn’t any particular fun moments while writing “Baby Just Cruise” (the whole thing was a fun adventure creating the storyline and keeping it more age appropriate for a 17 year old girl) but there are many fun moments I remember from making the music video! We filmed it in Nashville and I was assured the weather would be pretty warm out the end of September. So, my personal favorite moment is when I had to go in a river barefoot in shorts and a t-shirt while it was 35 degrees outside! The best part was when my producer yelled, “Okay, where’s the boyfriend?” and the look on his face when he found out he was going in the river with me was priceless! It was so cold!

What’s the process of writing one of your songs?

The process of writing my songs is pretty similar every time. Normally I will do co-writes, so we will all come with ideas and concepts. We will just go through tons of ideas until someone gets inspired by something and we will just roll with it! We basically all just feed off of each other and we make something amazing! However, when we get stuck, a lot of times we will just start singing covers and dance around the room, haha. Lately, I have been coming into the writes with all my concepts because I want the songs to be more personal and relatable. I’m working on an EP so we need to write the right song.

You just finished touring with the High School Nation Tour. Can you tell our viewers about this tour?

Yes! It was so much fun! I had the opportunity to spend 2 out of 5 weeks on tour, I went to Arizona and Vegas! High School Nation is a big 2 hour music festival type event that is put on at chosen high schools, on their athletic fields. The purpose is to promote and encourage music in their schools. With the help of sponsors, High School Nation then donates music equipment to the High School that we played at. We visit 5 schools per week, while I was there I got to perform for about 35,000 kids total! This year Silento (Watch Me Whip / Nae Nae) was the headliner. It was so much fun meeting and hanging out with fans, and I’m so happy that have made lifelong friends with the other artist on tour!

How did you become involved with such a cool project?

They found me on Reverbnation and reached out to me about a month before the tour started and asked me if I want to be a part of it! How could I say no? So we scrambled to get merch and flights scheduled. I just love the fact that I got to sing to kids in High School, since I am Junior too. A lot of kids were shocked that I was their age, so it was really fun to connect with them.

What was the best moment on tour for you?

There are so many it’s so hard to pick! I think my most memorable moment was talking to a girl after my set about being bullied and hearing her story. I was able to connect with her right away and we talked for a while about everything she is going through. Which is why I want to do what I do, to listen and be there for my fans and let them know as hurtful as people are, everything will be okay! I’ve learned you will always have haters, you just need to love yourself and be confident. But also some of my favorite memories are dancing on stage with Silento during all of his sets and hanging out with everyone on tour, especially playing Uno for hours after the show in the hotel lobby.

You also recently competed in the Miss Washington Teen USA Pageant & you are now booked to perform at multiple pageants this year. How did you get involved with this?

I competed in the Miss Washington Teen USA Pageant two years ago and it was the best experience ever. I entered it because I wanted to expose social media bullying and I honestly thought I would find friends that were more like me. (Plus I’m 5’11) I had no idea what I was doing but the girls who have been in pageants before kinda took me under their wing and helped me. I loved every aspect of the pageant world. But I especially gained back a lot of confidence I had lost prior due to bullying and I did meet amazing girls who are just like me and support my music career. When you are bullied for something you are so passionate about, you think you are the only one going through it. I found through the pageant girls, that pretty much all of them had been bullied at some point growing up. It is also exciting to be watching the TV and cheering for your State contestant who you know.

The directors of the pageant are very supportive of current and past contestants. Maureen, the director of the Miss Washington Pageant knows that I am a singer and she asked if I would want to perform a song at four of the state pageants coming up this fall! I’m super excited and honored that they chose me to perform. I am actually writing and recording a song for the girls that I am going to perform for!

Any other fun things in the works you can tell us about?

I am writing a ton of new music to find the right songs for an EP that I’m hoping to release by the end of the year! I am singing around Washington State this summer and traveling to Nashville a whole lot and possibly going back on tour with High School Nation next year! Make sure you follow my social media to see what I am up to! (@KassidyLynne14 – Twitter, Instagram; KassidyLynneMusic – Facebook)

Do you have any last things you want to tell your supporters?

Thank you so much for believing in me. I know everyone always says this, but, I couldn’t do this without you! It’s a long and sometimes lonely road. You have to sacrifice a lot to do what you know God put in your heart to pursue. I pray that this journey continues to go up but I can’t do it alone. I love your “likes”, comments, dm’s and support at shows – it always puts a smile on my face. Dream Big and Give it all you got! - Teen Music Insider
