Whether he’s bringing new beats, setting new trends, or inspiring young minds, Ken Clear (formally know as #SORLIVE) is a breath of FRESH air! Hailing from New Orleans, Ken Clear was quick to pick up on the Hip-Hop style, taking inspiration from artists such as Will Smith, Lyfe Jennings, Black Eyed Peas, & Kid Rock. “this mixture of hip-hop with a splash of rock creates a fresh, flavorful sound.” Ken Clearstrives to be a positive influence in the world of music, writing original songs with meaningful lyrics taken from personal life experiences. Performing in major music festivals, working in the studio, or speaking in schools around the country, Ken Clear takes that positive influence with him wherever he goes.

1. Tell us a bit about yourself. Where you come from, where you’re going.

I am a recording artist from New Orleans, LA who isn’t afraid to mix genres and promote positivism in the music industry!!

2. What have been some of the biggest influences for you and your music? Where does your inspiration come from?

My biggest inspiration is my family of course and the city of New Orleans!! We have so much heritage down south, it’s just an honor to be apart of all the GREATNESS!! ….just last year alone, we hit over 55+ shows throughout the country!! We seen a lot and learned a lot which also added to my daily inspiration!! Most of my music inspiration comes from my life experience and my story!! The GOOD, the BAD, & the UGLY!! …….mostly good though!!

3. For those who haven’t heard your music, how would you describe your sound in one sentence?

I would describe my sound as “fresh” & “trendsetting”.

4. What’s your opinion on music streaming services such as Spotify and Pandora?

Music has been heading that way for years now!! Spotify & Pandora are excellent companies for musicians, but to me there is nothing like a good ole CD of good music!!

5. Do you have any advice for fans trying to make it in music?
Yes, I do!! I am a big fan of following your dreams and purpose!! In pursuit of launching your music career, find your X-FACTOR!!

…..whatever makes you stand out, whatever sets you apart from the millions of other musicians!! Once you find that X-FACTOR, perfect it!! You will eventually rise to the top!

6. Got any upcoming events or projects we should be excited for?

Yes, we have several!! We are currently on the Everything FRESH Tour promoting the brand!! We have 20 cities in a span of 3 months!! After that we will gear up and release the album in Fall of 2017. - Kristoffer Bailey

Ken Clear takes the time to dedicate half of all bookings towards teaching and reaching youth in the public school system. Thus far, Ken Clear has performed over 50 shows this year and shared the stages with notable celebrities in the entertainment industry, including Hip Hop Artist Freeky Zeeky, Fat Joe, Gospel Recording Artist Dietrick Haddon, and more!
