"Music Connection Magazine"

"Surviving in today's over-saturated industry is no easy feat. Having seven years experience touring with artists like Sick of Sarah and Taking Back Sunday, however, can help develop the skills necessary to succeed. At least that's the plan set by indie-rocker Kerchief and 825 Records." -

"June Tunes Digest"

"Characterized by a woozy indie rock approach that builds upon Arcade Fire-meets-PJ Harvey notes. The song is fortified by straightforward lyrics that still leave spaces for a listener’s imagination to fill in their own gaps, and unafraid to throw some unexpected changes in direction at us musically, too. This is artful attention to detail at its best." -

"Appetizer Radio"

"Formerly of the all-female alt rock outfit Vanity Theft, Hill’s music reflects a long and storied personal journey that hits with force and leaves the mind in a haze of personality." -

"DX Entertainment"

"Kerchief is the moniker of ex-Vanity Theft guitarist/vocalist Brittany Hill. Given the blood, sweat, and tears put into her sophomore solo effort Machines and Animals, it is a safe bet Hill is going to be just fine on her own." -

"Curve Magazine"

"A dynamic composition tensely contained by its recurrent low-end hypnosis with a cumulating burst from a boundless wall of sound set the perfect tone, tying an underlying story of a creative person's journey from angst to ease. Distinguished drum patterns contributed by producer Matty Amendola, alongside Hill's experimental melodic guitar arrangements, will have audiophiles hitting the repeat button while satisfying the first-time listener with its engaging hook." -

Bio

With a well-bred attitude brimming with substance, both musically and lyrically, Kerchief is a welcome departure from what a listener might commonly find from a "twenty-something" female artist on today’s Top 40. Kerchief (born Brittany Hill) hails from Ohio, but currently lives in Tennessee, brings a middle America sentimentality and work ethic to her most recent recording.

Kerchief's debut LP “Machines & Animals” offers tracks that expertly weave Hill’s smooth voice with the edge of her songwriting and lyrics. Guitar riffs bite into bass lines that ebb and flow with emotional vocals, taking inspiration from a personal journey.

The first single "Milk & Honey" was released on March 24th 2015 and was followed by indie reviews world-wide, CMJ radio playlists, and regional TV airplay. The full-length album "Machines and Animals" followed in July with an extensive Summer touring schedule and second single, "Jack London."

The band is currently working on their sophomore record and touring regionally.
