Visit us online at www.myspace.com/lessonzero. You can see lyrics on our web page. We didn’t have room for everything. Lesson Welcome was carefully handcrafted and aged to perfection for three years. It is an eclectic variety of LESSON ZERO’s original alternative, indie roots rock, plus a cover and a half. It is something old, something new, something borrowed, and even some blues. It strays from rock’s standard 4/4 to 6/8 and 9/8 time. It’s new adult, contemporary music with a bit of pain, a dose of reality, a smattering of hope, a wink from God, a whole lotta love, a little happiness, considerable fun, occasional excitement, a twist of twisted humor, and of course the proverbial eye of newt, wing of bat, toe of frog, etc. which all adds up to Way Cool Music.
Baby Bought A Ticket, Halloween Night, Bail Out, and No Time Left In Your Head are leleased as singles.

Bio

LESSON ZERO is a roots-rock band from Northern Virginia with strains of country, Cajun, pop, adult contemporary, and indie sounds thrown in to their original music for good measure. DJ Andy Och from WRYR describes their music as sounding like a mix of The Beatles, The Guess Who, Pink Floyd, The Beach Boys, Bob Dylan, and The Eagles.

LESSON ZERO recently finished their follow-up cd to Lesson Welcome, Lesson Won. LESSON ZERO is playing clubs and concerts close to home and recording in their Springfield studio between shows.

LESSON ZERO is Kerry Miller, bass and vocal; guitar George Anspach, guitar and vocal; Terry Kean, drums and vocal; and Glenn Rickman, guitar, harmonica, and vocal. LESSON ZERO began in the 90’s when Kerry, the only remaining member, was playing guitar. The present band began with the addition of guitar George replacing Rick Lutyk who died. Tom Zimmers played with the band for 5 years back in its formative stage and rejoined in 2009, replacing Bobby Farlee who moved to North Carolina after recording on 10 of the tracks for Lesson Welcome.

Some lyric fun:
Now I’m asking for forgiveness; she said, “Boy it’s much too late.”
Now I’m on my knees and begging; that’s when she threw another plate. – from “Baby Bought A Ticket”
How will you know if I was even there
While you comb your hair in your underwear?
I just dropped by I thought to take a look
And now I’m hooked. I ain’t going nowhere…
You left your web cam on – from “Web Cam On”
But the postman said, “There is no Effing St.”
When he brought your letter back.
He insisted in giving me his point of view,
“There’s more than the address that you lack.” – from “Effing St.”
You can’t hide your love, ‘cause I know where to look.
I’ll search every cranny, and I’ll check every nook – from “Find It And Take It”
