ABOUT US

Los Reyes de la Calle -

Los Reyes de la Calle (LRC) is a duo made up of two Panamanian cousins.  The group initial formed in 2010 with three members ( Nanny; Wakko; Tonka).  While grinding in the midwest city of Kansas City, Missouri, the group struggled for survival in an area where their music genre (reggaeton)  was not very popular.  Through the ups & downs the group has managed to survive and place a firm stake representing their genre and unique style of music.  The group members being of Panamanian origin has a large splash of dancehall in their style of reggaeton.

After a few years of intermittent breaks, the current duo (Nanny y Djnino) became focused in 2015.  The energy and resurgence of the duo has allowed the group to lead and contribute to a rebirth of reggaeton music in the midwest region.

Nelson Rosales, a.k.a. "Nanny" was born in Panama City, Panama on December 18.  He relocated to the United States when he was eight years old.  Nanny was very athletic throughout school, playing football, soccer, baseball, running track, and boxing.  With all of the sports activity he was involved with, Nanny always had love for music.  Having a very good ear for music, Nanny is a natural drummer and has always displayed skills to be a very good producer.  Nanny played drums in church as well as with his school band.  At home he was exposed to a variety of music genres such as: Salsa, Spanish Reggae, Cumbia, Merengue, Reggae, Hip Hop, R&B, Dancehall, Plena, Tipico, Bachata and of course Reggaeton.  "When I use to hear my Pops rap, I didn't know what I wanted to do, but I always knew that it was going to have something to do with music"

Nanny formed Los Reyes de la Calle with his brother, Wakko and their cousin Tonka.  The love of music has driven Nanny through the ups and down and has kept him afloat while paying his dues and making dreams reality.

Jonathan Samaniego, a.k.a. "Djnino" was born in Panama City, Panama on January  9. While growing up, Djnino mainly sung and performed in church. Nino was known for being a jokester with the ability to impersonate others.  Nino has always been able to accomplish anything he put his mind to.  Djnino was visiting his cousins in the US for the summer, when they first formed the group (Los Reyes de la Calle). Nino (not an official member) played a huge part in their earlier beginnings.  He filmed and directed the group's first video.  Djnino not actually being a DJ, did attempt to become LRC's first DJ by buying equipment and a laptop and teaching himself basic DJing and graphic designs for the group.  Djnino returned to Panama quietly (but with a candle lit inside) proud of the strides made by his cousins.  Djnino supported and monitored the group's successes from afar.   Five years later after relocating to the U.S., Djnino's internally lit candle would unknowingly become a flame to help reignite the group along with the fortitude of his battle tested cousin, Nanny.

Los Reyes de la Calle writes and performs their original music.  Generally under the latin music genre, LRC has the ability to perform Mambo/Merengue, Hip Hop, Dancehall along with Reggaeton.  They pride themselves on giving a good solid performances every time they perform.  This has led to the group's moniker of "El Duo del Party".  The group has adopted this attitude and movement based on them wanting to give a gift to the world.  "The world is filled with a lot of things, we just want to give Love, Happiness and a Good Party!!!!"  LRC.

With the belief that there are no limits, Los Reyes de la Calle looks forward to forging new relationships; taking advantage of performing opportunities; building and promoting our partners brands along with ours; learning; loving and living life!!

Bless!!
