Bio

Major Zephyr was founded after long-time Jackson Hole musicians Jeff Eidemiller, Pete Muldoon, and Marshall Davis spent a month in Mendoza,  Argentina at La Flora Estudio writing and recording music for a future project. After returning to the US, they decided to name the band Major Zephyr, and their first show was as the opener for Deer Tick. Major Zephyr plays a mix of Americana/Alt Country, and is guitar-driven and thematically political and philosophical. While they play mostly original set for festivals and club dates, they're also comfortable playing a wide mix of genres for weddings and other special events.

Aside from countless club and festival dates, they've also been billed with national touring acts and Grammy winners such as Steve Earle, Asleep At The Wheel, The Hold Steady, Wendy Colonna, and Deer Tick

Pete Muldoon has played music since he was 5, beginning on piano and then moving to vocals and guitar while honing his songwriting. He's currently the keyboardist for the touring band The Deadlocks, as well as the vocalist for the outlaw country band Ghost Rider, and has shared the stage with musicians like Ben Harper and Robert Randolph. His lyrics are inspired by his interest in social justice, and informed by his experiences growing up in the Air Force and then joining the Army as a teenager.

Guitarist Jeff Eidemiller toured with EMI recording artist Space Garage, which has played Europe, India and South America. He's also toured internationally with the rock opera El Futre.  Jeff has also recorded and played with numerous bands in the Jackson Hole area, where he has made his home for the last 20 years. He's also a founder of the JHME Rock Camp, as well as a co-founder and owner of MusicLessons.com.

Bassist Marshall Davis has been playing professionally since 1990, starting his career with Soul Cellar in San Jose, Ca. Since then, he's played in numerous bands exploring Salsa, Calypso and Samba, Rock, Country, and more. He's opened for acts such as Blues Traveler, Blind Melon, Babatunde Olatunje, Jefferson Starship, Sister Sparrow and the Dirty Birds and has played with artists such as John Popper and James Belushi.

Pedal Steel and Banjo player Ted Wells is a founding member of national touring group Loose Ties, and 3rd place winner of the National Banjo Championship. Ted has also played with an extensive list of the regions best musicians, and brings a wealth of experience and versatility to the band.

Drummer Andy Peterson has played for virtually every band to come through Jackson Hole. He's recorded with jay Nash in LA, has played with the legendary Tram Jam, Chanman's Roots Band, The Deadlocks, and Soul Impressions-not to mention being written up in the New York Times for his work with Screen Door Porch.

Mark Longfield: Keyboards, Hammond B3. Mark has also played extensively in the region. He's the go to player for that B3 sound, and can play pretty much any genre, moving effortlessly from rock to country to jazz to funk.
