"We are the ones who should thank you. My administrator who has been doing this for 15+ years and is a classically trained Soprano thought you were “engaging, entertaining and extremely talented” and that in her opinion it was one of the best performances we have had here at Four Seasons. Thank you for making us look good".
I hope to work with you again in the future.

"I wanted to thank you again for an INCREDIBLE night of song and guitar. Such talent is rarely seen in such places. Very Well done!!!" - Steve Wilson
Massachusetts isn’t exactly known as a hotbed of Country performers, but there have been a few to break
through, most notably Jo Dee Messina. Hoping to join her is Annesbury native Mark LaPointe, who brings his
own unique viewpoint and sound to the table, thereby proving his mettle.
Writing all eleven cuts off this disc, he’s got more than a few winners here. His vocal is very strong and resonant
from the beginning on the title cut. His voice keeps getting better and better throughout the album, especially on
the pleasant “All Things Texan,” which benefits from some great harmony from Bobbie Lancaster. He slips in a
90s pop feel on the emotional “Fathers’ Day,” which reminded me of the style of Joshua Kadison. There’s a
lonesome vibe on the “There You Go Again,” thanks in part to the stirring fiddle of Gordon Lowry.
In addition to the musical tracks and vocal chops expressed here, LaPointe also proves his worth as a tunesmith
throughout the disc. Whether it be celebrating special times in “The Lightning,” or learning to let go in
“Westbound Train,” LaPointe shows that he definitely has that magical potion called “it,” whether he’s singing or
writing. A true delight from start to finish! - Chuck Dauphin
I have to say that I am seldom brought to tears, but I was today as I listened to “Somewhere in Germany”. I am a generation earlier than you, but my Dad was a WWII vet who made it, but died of a heart attack at 55 when I was only 27. Because of this, my father-in-law became a sort of stand-in Dad. I admired the hell out of him. He also was a WWII vet, wounded, captured by the Germans in Italy in 1944, sent to a prison camp for several months until he escaped with a buddy and somehow made it back to his own lines. Unlike your grandfather, he made it back, married my mother-in-law when he got home and my wife of 42 years, Linda, was their second child. He died of a stroke last year at 86. I am not a very spiritual person, but somewhere my father-in-law and your grandfather are sitting around some lousy kerosene stove with a three-day growth swapping stories right now. Thank you for your talent and for using it the way you are. It is inspiring. - Steve Rolf
“Listen to Mark and one thinks, ‘so this is what it’s like to hear someone just before he’s famous!’ His songs tell human stories everyone can relate to and show a knack for combining the stories with the musical talent overshadowed by no one. Add to that, the voice many in the music profession would envy.”
Bill Hallett, Host of ‘Homegrown Showcase’ WXRV, Boston, 92.5 The River - Bill Hallett
Mark is truly a class act... "a gentleman and a scholar" as we used to say in the old days. Mark can romance a crowd as few can, with his great tunes, amazing voice and engaging wit. -

Bio
Mark was born and raised in the town of Amesbury, Massachusetts. He
began playing the drums at age of 7 and by age 12 was well on his
way. He recalls, “I had my first paying gig at the age of 12. I was a
last-minute fill-in for a drummer in a local wedding band. We were in
this smoky old VFW Hall on a sunday afternoon. I held my own with the
“old pros” and walked out of there with $50 in my pocket. Needless to
say, I was hooked!”
Mark turned his attention to the guitar during the early 1990′s
primarily as a song-writing tool. As a singer/songwriter, he has
performed in venues throughout New England, Tennessee, and is most
recently enjoying a rapidly increasing performance schedule within the
Indianapolis, IN area, which he now calls home. He has shared the
stage with Livingston Taylor, Don Schlitz, Mark Stewart, and Steve
Seskin, Tim Grimm and Leon Russell. He continues to be an invited
performer at the world renowned Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, TN, and his
style has been compared to James Taylor, David Wilcox and Skip Ewing.
