I want you to draw closer to your maker and closer to Christ.” I’m not an entertainer I’m a minister. It’s not all about music that makes you move but about creating timeless music that all ages can enjoy. Combining hard-hitting hip-hop lyrics, R&B melodic hooks, and relatable, evangelical messages, Matazadach is a humble conduit of The Most High in the genre of Truth Music. Matazadach combines his passion for hip-hop and love for The Most High's Word to deliver music that encourages, rebukes, and sounds the alarm to this generation living in the end times.
Formerly known as Young Yash, Matazadach is set to release his third solo project, Growth II, December 2023. With uptempo beats, praise music, and versatile life topics, Growth II is set to reach the next generation and those currently in the fight to inspire them to live for The Most High (TMH). Fire collaborations with King Tazawar, Baqarah, Dawadah Arak and a host of other gifted saints round out this Spirit-filled project.
Lyrical inspiration for this project evolved from Matazadach’s experiences street preaching and interacting with youth in the inner city of Charlotte, NC.

Truth music is an overall genre encompassing the musical styles of hip-hop, R&B, neo-soul, reggae, other Caribbean styles, African sounds, choir, worship music, and even country. Basically, whatever form The Most High gives an artist to communicate the TRUTH of His Word is covered. This freedom in Christ has birthed a diversified genre for believers of The Most High in Christ to praise and be encouraged along their walk to salvation. From entertainer to musical minister… Raised by a young single mother, Matazadach’s aunts were like his sisters, and his uncles were like his brothers and male role models. Coming from a young musical family, Matazadach was influenced by the sounds of hip-hop and R&B artists of the 2000s. At age 13 his brother, Dawadah Arak, wrote a song for him. After that, Matazadach's personal love for hip-hop began to grow. He started to heavily listen to NY hip-hop artists such as 50 Cent, Stack Bundles, G-Unit, D-Block, and southern rappers like T.I., Jeezy, and Young Dro to name a few. While the secular music Matazadach and his family created gained some traction, it wasn’t until they started to make music for The Most High that their sound came together. After several family projects, including the classic album- Spiritual Warfare, Matazadach heard the call to give a more personal message, and released his first solo project, The Transition Pt. 1 in 2021. His second solo project, Growth, was released in March 2023 with Growth II set to be released on December 1, 2023. Matazach’s goal is to be used by The Most High for His will and to make His name great. Matazadach desires to leave a legacy of music that inspires people of all ages to get closer to The Most High in Christ.
