In 2011 Look Alive released one of the hottest mix tapes on the hip-hop scene titled The Awakening. In 2012 she earned the lead role as “Rae� in the award winning Web Series Between Women, which earned her thousands of new fans, and making her one of the hottest sought after LGBT Artist in the United States. She has made guest appearances at hundreds of clubs and hosted PRIDE events all over the country and abroad. She is definitely one to Watch!!!

Bio
As an only child, her single mother sought to protect her from the wild murderous streets of New Orleans, by providing her with the best living and educational opportunities. She mastered the piano by age three and by age six was a trained ballet, tap, and jazz dancer. She had traveled to Europe and all across the United States by the time she was in high school, but Look’s rebellious spirit craved more. In 2002 Look Alive moved to Atlanta, Georgia to focus on pursuing her passions.
The Poet
Look Alive started writing poetry at the age of eight as a hobby and had numerous poems published in many literary magazines.
Since then, Look has performed as a spoken word artist across the United States, winning multiple poetry and open-mic contest. She has competed and performed with award-winning poets. Her pieces have been published in over 6 books, as well as, used in independent film, art, and music projects.
The Musician
After losing everything but her rhyme book and a few CD’s in hurricane Katrina she realized it was time for the world to hear her story. Look Alive’s musical inspiration comes from New Orleans traditional jazz, classical, soul, and blues sound. Her style has been compared to artist like Lauryn Hill, Nas, Mc Lyte and Jay Z.
To date, Look Alive has released 6 albums and sold over 100k copies of her music. Her most recent release is a 10-track EP called, Black Madonna.
But, Look’s talent isn’t limited to rhyme. She is also a keyboardist, songwriter, and vocalist. As such, Look Alive has worked with numerous artists - most notably, opening for Floetry. She has also worked with Glen Lewis (Groove Theory), Ski Beatz, and Grammy-nominated producer, Drumma Boi.
The Actor
Look Alive expanded from music and poetry to acting in 2012. It began when she was cast to play a lead role in an online web-series titled, “Between Women”. The audience responded resoundingly to Look Alive’s character, as well as the show, which has since run 4 seasons and expanded to a network that produces multiple shows. With the popularity of Between Women, Look’s acting career catapulted. Since her first role, she has appeared in over 25 different productions including standout roles in, ‘Girls Like Us 2.0’ and ‘Sex and Hip Hop – The Documentary’.
