Bio

Musician. Singer-songwriter. MC. Lyricist. Multi-Instrumentalist. Revolutionary artist. Genderqueer Transgender woman. Trailblazer. Multi-Industry/Multiplatform Modern Day Renaissance Woman. Is there anything that October Evans can’t do?

Originally born and raised until the age of 14 in the Lone Star State of Texas, October Evans had grown up to be a very resilient and empowered genderqueer transgender woman from a very young age, overcoming trauma, transphobia, queerphobia, racism, sexism, transmisogyny, domestic violence/sexual assault, transgender hate crimes, forced sex trafficking at the hands of her family members, suicide, losing loved ones to mental health-related suicides, drug overdoses and fatal tragedies that took their lives far too soon, and even had survived homelessness on and off, all whilst pursuing her high school, college and post grad school goals, and having been in a total of 7 bands  and one rap group thus far in the last 20 years of her life.

She is now a very happy woman, living life on the road as an activist, musician/singer-songwriter, writer/poet/blogger, podcast show host, artist/painter, photographer, indie filmmaker/director/producer/screenwriter/actress, etc., and just being free from all of the world’s cruelty.

Turning 30 years old, she looks back on all the music career accomplishments and achievements, only to realize she still has more to do, more left to say and more to achieve in the music industry, so after having put Wanderlust Grrrl (her main band) on a permanent hiatus, she pursued an very rare, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to become her own solo artist/project with a self-titled artist name and focus on doing original and cover songs via acoustic guitars, the piano/keyboards/synth pads, electric guitars, and programming her beats on her own with a little help from her friends, to paraphrase a Beatles song, and putting together some of the most rawest, honest and original music that anyone has ever heard in the last 40 years. Combining her many influences and genres/sub-genres that she grew up listening to, she has come together with a group of hired studio/touring musicians to put together a new debut solo album yet to come with a slated TBD Summer release date in 2019.

In the meantime, you can enjoy all the demos she has done thus far, and keep an eye out for more to come this year and beyond.
