Otherworld blends jazz, classical, and world music influences, playing original tunes with an emphasis on improvisation.
Otherworld is pianist Jeffrey Chappell, guitarist Jake Kohlhas, bassist Christ Taylor, and percussionist Jake Marinari.
Their debut recording, "Otherworld", won a Global Music Award in the "album" category.
"Otherworld" has been broadcast on international and national radio, including Jazz Standard Internet Radio, London, England; Berklee Internet Radio Network, Boston MA; and NPR affiliate WYPR-FM, Baltimore MD.
Based in Baltimore, Otherworld has been heard across the United States in live streaming; throughout the Baltimore/Washington region at jazz clubs, colleges, museums, and outdoor concerts; and on Baltimore television.
