Ox is a New Orleans-based sludge/southern/stoner metal band that formed in 2021. The band consists of Jon Marc Kilpatrick - vocals, Angelo Lachin - guitar, Noel Pilie - guitar, Jacob Fitzmorris - bass and Albert Lachin - drums.
They're currently performing and booking shows across Louisiana and the Gulf Coast region. Ox's debut song, "Waste Your Time," was released recently, and this is their new single, called "Straight Away," released on April 15, with a full-length album due in late 2022.
The song has a great sound, great riffs and robust vocals, perfect for the genre. The chorus is absolutely contagious and I'm sure you won't be able to keep your head still while listening to it. Ox is a metal/sludge metal/stoner metal band from New Orleans, LA formed in 2021. The band have recently finished recording their first single "Waste Your Time", as well as the upcoming track "Straight Away", and are planning their debut album release in 2022. These songs were recorded at Studio in the Country (past clients include Goatwhore, Crowbar, Haarp, and Marilyn Manson) in Bogalusa, LA and engineered by Jay Wesley. Ox is currently starting their online/social media campaign surrounding the release of their first single and are gigging and booking shows around the southern gulf coast.
