"Sunset in The Rearview - Just Do Me (Remix) Review"

Chicago MC Prez Harris knows who he is, and he wants you to do the same on his new single, “Just Do Me.” The track is a testament to originality over imitation, featuring sharp verses from Harris, as well as Thaddeus Tukes and Devin 2xx. The track is equal parts banger and empowerment anthem, a balancing act that isn’t always easy to pull off.

Over a booming, trap-tinged instrumental from Detrakz, the three MCs trade bars about the grind and artificiality. Their distinct flows compliment each other well, with Tukes’ dense, knotty lyrics playing well off of Harris’ smoother, effortless delivery. - Grant

"IndieU - Battle of the Bands Performance Review"

The Northwestern favorite delivered an engaging performance on par with the shows he regularly puts on around campus. He played a mixture of songs from his debut mixtape State of the Union, ranging from the money-wired "Economics" to the drowsy R&B serenade "First Lady" featuring Noah Fromson. Utilzing the on-stage charisma that's built his reputation, Harris demanded that the audience move as close to the stage as possible for his banger “Just Do Me,” closing out his show on a high-energy note. - Camille Darko

"North by Northwestern - Prez Harris Feature"

Harris’ preferences ebb and flow every day, but “Just Do Me” especially carries his current sentiment that one should embrace him or himself and bring their marinating dreams to fruition. - Celena Chong

"IndieU - Prez Harris Feature"

Self-proclaimed Prez Harris, the 19-year-old Northwestern University sophomore majors in engineering and doubles as a rapper. His debut mixtape, State of the Union, is a play on the presidential address, making astute observations on everything from challenges of race and poverty to violence in Chicago and problems in the millennial generation. Perhaps most important, however, is his call to arms—his State of the Union isn’t just a lecture, it’s a movement. - Dana Getz
