"Unsigned Artist: Rabid Young"

A fascination with vintage synthesizers, a powerful vocal attack, and hooky material all add up to a well-produced, extremely promising quintet from Las Vegas. - Music Connection (Print)

"PopMatters Premiere of "Not Enough""

"Simultaneously decadent and yearning...It holds nothing back in its cinematic groove, the mid-tempo refrain having a grand sprawl to it as the synths are layered in shimmering textures. The chorus of chant-like vocals add another level of opulence to the simultaneously decadent and yearning track." - PopMatters

"Friday Uplift with Rabid Young"

"A creative mix of synth pop with a rockier edge, all of which have a generally bright and breezy feel to them." - Beehive Candy

"Rabid Young: EP1"

"as haunting and viscerally realistic as anything I have heard lately, and I for one am grateful for that" - Bearded Magazine

"Rabid Young: Before You Go"

"Week In Pop on Impose Magazine"

"For those in need of absolute over the top stadium pop that is never “Not Enough”, then crank the ultra anthemic and sugar encrusted single from Rabid Young." - Impose, Week In Pop

"Rabid Young - Before You Go"

"The retro pop elements are masterfully balanced with alt-rock counterweights to produce a supremely catchy vibe you will love regardless what your preferred genre is. Another reason to love on this tune is the vocal harmony it has going on in the hook. Listen and I’m sure you’ll find a dozen more." - We Do It For The Love Of Music

"[PREMIERE] New single from Rabid Young – ‘Before You Go’"

‘Before You Go’, carries on their anthemic sonic tradition and brings their signature sing-along choruses to a new level. - Take A Shot

Bio

Eric Rickey (Most Thieves) was restless. He had spent years

cultivating his skills as a musician, songwriter and producer. Having

received critical praise and connected with eager listeners, at some

point in 2014, he found himself at the end of a well traveled road

wondering where to go next. After composing and producing the film

score for Popovich and the Voice of the Fabled American West, with

friend and fellow musician Jackson Wilcox (A Crowd of Small

Adventures) the duo took aim at the uncharted territories of pop

music.

They set about deconstructing the type of radio pop that took

hold of the charts in the 80's and fusing it with its not-so-distant

cousin of current chart toppers. Straight forward lyrics that cut right to

the heart of the matter, melodies that leap from your speakers with

ease, beats that make you move and a metric ton of shimmering

keyboards. Before long the pair was joined in the

studio by fellow Most Thieves alum Bobby Lee Parker (guitar), long

time partner in crime Matthew Long(drums, Roky Erickson) and

Popovich contributor Alex Stopa (The Silver State, Big Talk). The result

is their freshly minted self titled debut EP mixed by Grammy winning

engineer Adam J. Odor.

Excited by the results of their studio explorations, Rabid Young have

now set their sights on bringing it to life on the stage. That thought

drew the talents of guitarist Mason Bundschuh (Atlas Takes Aim) and

keyboardist Kelly Loadman into the fold. The live Rabid Young retains

the pop melodies and endless keyboard textures of the studio work,

but highlights the music with high energy and passionate

performances bringing the presentation up to a level befitting the

biggest arena rock bands. The whole thing sparks with the electricity

of new art.
