Bio

Rafiel Davi (born October 14th) is an up and coming hip hop artist from North Charleston, South Carolina. He has participated in a variety of music activities at a young age (playing trumpet, african drums, writing, and producing songs) and made the decision to take his music career to the next level in February 2007.
While enrolled at South Carolina State University, Davi, then known as “Champ Valor,” recorded his first song entitled "Love Letter" a song with, as he describes, “a new school flow while paying homage to old school hip hop.” He was also featured on "Let's Kick It Girl" along with fellow artists and schoolmates J-Bet and Sean Stone. After the tremendous response following the release of the song along with his first performance in February 2009, Davi gained the confidence he needed to move forward in his career.
Influenced by hip hop greats like Tupac, Andre 3000, Nas, and Ice Cube, Rafiel was able to find his voice and express his own influential flow on his first mixtape in August 2010, "Somnia Vol. 1.” Due to positive reviews he was recognized and featured in Always Therro Magazine’s, April 2011, "Rated Next” section.
Davi took a hiatus in 2011 to focus on the business aspect of the industry. During this time he focused on his sound, education and personal growth. In 2013 he released "PROMOtion Mixtape EP." The 6 track project earned him more recognition by way of blog features and another magazine feature, this time in Levitate Magazine’s, July 2013, “Best Thang Smokin” section.
Equipped with knowledge, an ear for music, and enlightening verses, Rafiel Davi wants to continue, as he says, "Making good music and breaking down the system."
