Rare Form

The first word that comes to most people’s mouths after attending a Rare Form show is ENERGY! We put energy into every song like it was the last encore song of the evening,immediately connecting with the entire audience. We’d love to bring that energy to your live music venue.

Founded in 2015 by a group of Minnesota based work colleagues, Rare Form is a 5-piece band that includes former members of well-known and well-travelled Twin Cities bands. We’ve come together with the idea of sharing our love for music and positive vibes with friends, family, co-workers, and anyone who enjoys a Rockin’ good time. We have a broad collective experience having played many of the Twin Cities most iconic clubs including 7thStreet Entry, The Cabooze, The Amsterdam Bar & Hall, The Hexagon Bar, The Palace Stage at Wild Tymes, Ziggy’s on Main, Tally’s Dockside and Lord Fletcher’s. We’ve also been privileged to play many private events and parties and have supported multiple charity events including the Colon Cancer Coalition’s “Get Your Rear in Gear” and “Tour de Tush” as well as Veterans Support Rallies.

The main goal of a Rare Form show is to get people out of their seats dancing, bopping, and singing along with the band. Crowd participation is fostered and encouraged. Our favorite reaction to our band is when we hear people say…  “I can’t believe you played that one…  I love that song!
