"Slayer plays to its strengths in free Sinclair show"

"Doomriders, performing in support, swung like a 50-pound hammer at the end of a rope. Fronted by Nate Newton of Converge, the quartet mixes the hardcore gnarl of Newton’s main gig with sinuous, unabashedly retro twin-guitar flights. If Slayer lords its dominion over all that lies south of heaven, Doomriders staked a fair claim on what lurks south of the waistline. Full marks to opener Rozamov, a young local trio that leavens sludgy contemplations in the key of murk-flat minor with limber blastbeats, for tackling a nightclub freebie with intensity and verve sufficient to reach an arena’s cheap seats." - Boston Globe

"Deathkings & Rozamov, Split: A Shared Tendency Toward the Extreme"

While shorter, Rozamov‘s “Ghost Divine” is perhaps even more given to extremity. Like Deathkings, the Boston trio have undergone a lineup shift since their last recorded output, their 2013 Of Gods and Flesh EP having included guitarist Liz Walshak, who can currently be found in newcomers Sea. As the trio of guitarist/vocalist Matt Iocovelli, bassist/backing vocalist Tom Corino (also of Kind) and drummer Will Hendrix, Rozamov are rawer on “Ghost Divine” than they were on the EP, but that rawness feels intentional. A feedback swell fades in to an immediate thrust of blastbeaten grinding and fast-paced sludge churn, their sound having long since grown out of most of its initial High on Fire influence but retained a penchant for thrash. Iacovelli and Corino answer each other vocally over the central riff with an affect more in line with a hardcore punk cover of Vital Remains than anything particularly doomed, but the ambience remains heavy all the same, and only adds weight as it slows into a solo section, fluidly pushing toward its halfway point with grand, echoing lead notes over slamming hits that seem (in context) in direct conversation with those Deathkings brought to bear, the vocals returning to command the tumult ably before dropping off to a quieter stretch of atmospheric noodling, layered-in piano from Iacovelli and persistent drumming to hold the tension. They build back up, and as one might hope, churn their way back to the rush that typified the first half of the track, ending strong with sustained, layered screams/growls and amplified crackle, the confidence with which they present “Ghost Divine” doing as much to convey the extremity as the actual riffs themselves. They sound like a band ready to put together their debut full-length, and so they are. - The Obelisk

"PREMIERE: SATE YOUR HUNGER FOR THE HEAVY WITH ROZAMOV'S "GHOST DIVINE""

“Hey East Coast, did you miss those last Grief shows a few years back? Were you stuck at work when YOB rolled through last month? Did you sleep on getting tickets to see Winter and Neurosis at Maryland Deathfest in May? Are you craving a dose of the heavy, and willing to do anything to get it—even put up with a venue full of drunk Slayer fans?

Well, you're in luck, because Boston's Rozamov will be bringing the riffs to the Converse Rubber Tracks Live Boston showcase on April 29, opening up for Slayer and Doomriders. They've also got a split with Deathkings coming out on May 12 via Midnite Collective, and we're streaming their side of the seven-inch right here, right now.” - Noisey

"Rozamov/Deathkings Review Split 7inch"

“On the other side, Rozamov start out like some crust punk band blackened around the edges, but then they get sludgy and deliver a totally rad refrain for a long time before just speeding up again, and then done. What an odd way to write a real cool song.” - DECIBEL MAGAZINE

"ROZAMOV Streaming New Track “Ghost Divine”"

“Exactly twenty days ago Deathkings premiered a new track from their upcoming split with Rozamov and now the latter has done the same. Rozamov have unleashed their new track “Ghost Divine,” which reeks of filth and heathenism. You can check out the track after the jump, as it premiered over on Noisey today. If you’re not digging “Ghost Divine” and/or Rozamov, kindly fuck off.” - American Aftermath

"Slayer, Replacements, Passion Pit Headlining Converse Boston Fest"

Five artists on the Converse Rubber Tracks Live bill – the Young Leaves, Michael Christmas, Bent Shapes, Rozamov and Radclyffe Hall – all recorded in the Boston area thanks to the Rubber Tracks program. - Rolling Stone

"On The Road…. with Rozamov"

That Boston’s Rozamov is an excellent band won’t surprise too many that have seen them live, or checked out their available tuneage. Their 2013 short player of Gods And Flesh was a flesh peeler and an ear opener to me for sure. Plus, it had some seriously sick artwork if I recollect. Their split with Deathkings, released a year ago showed a further exposition to the style they started, unafraid to take chances musically, yet playing to their strengths as a unit. If groups like early Mastodon, High On Fire, YOB, Black Tusk, Pallbearer, and Vallenfyre are your thing, this band will be right in your wheelhouse. In advance of an interview we are brewing with the band; Matt Lambert photographed them in their natural habitat for Ghost Cult. You can see them here, destroying it live at this hometown gig at the Middle East Nite Club, while opening for Intronaut and Scale The Summit. The band hits the road in June for a short run of tour dates with Moon Tooth. Their new album will follow later this year. - Ghost Cult Magazine
