Bio

A native Pennsylvanian, Ryan Peters grew up in a small, suburban town on the outskirts of York. Music always played a large role as Peters spent countless hours listening to his parents records including Bruce Springsteen, James Taylor, and Fleetwood Mac. During his high school years, the influences of Live, Radiohead, Sting and the Police, and U2 began to take root.

In 1997, Peters left York to attend East Stroudsburg University, where he developed a penchant for songwriting. This self-taught musicians skills began to blossom and his trademark of catchy riffs and strong melodies was birthed.

Following graduation, Peters moved to the Hawaiian Island of Oahu. This tropical paradise inspired Peters to further explore his musical calling while his performances at Hard Rock Caf and Sunset on the Beach (alumni include Elliot Smith and Jack Johnson) began to draw large followings.

Feeling called to push his musical boundaries, Peters moved to Nashville, TN where he recorded his first solo EP, Uprooted (2010) with producer Mark Nash (Tonic, Burlap to Cashmere). Uprooted earned commercial success with Overcome This Love featuring Leigh Nash (Sixpence None the Richer) being featured on MTVs True Life. Additionally, The Game was chosen to open an episode of Bad Girls Club on the Oxygen network.

Peters latest album, Live Love Grow, recorded with Nashville based producer Dustin Burnett (Newsboys, Augustana), is set for release on May 7, 2013. Prior to its release, tracks Stay With Me and We Live, We Love, We Grow are already receiving critical acclaim and enthusiastic interest amongst the music, television, and film production communities.
