"Hard Rock Bands Under The Radar: SEVENTRAIN"

“Seventrain is bluesy metal at its best. From gritty, powerful rhythms to guitar harmonies and shredding solos, Seventrain delivers a unique brand of eclectic hard rock. Fans of great musicianship will not only appreciate the dynamic guitar offerings, but also the musicality of an impressive rhythm section whose contribution goes well beyond providing a solid foundation to build upon.” - Hard Rock Daddy

"Seventrain - 2014 Seventrain"

“Tracks like Bleeding and the wickedly heavy Change churns out riffs that Zakk Wylde would be proud of. Rating: 9 out of 10” - Glorydaze music

"Seventrain"

Listening to Seventrain will make you realise that the industry just doesn't know what it’s doing – If Alter Bridge can be top of the tree then why the hell aren't a band like Seventrain planting their own bloody forest?? This is good and it’ll tick so many boxes for so many fans.

The instant thing you’ll be hearing is the songs themselves, everyone a winner in their own right – hooks galore, catchy choruses and solid riffs are the order of the day and the winning ingredient is undoubtedly lead singer Jon Campos who can hold notes for fun whilst morphing from Robert Plant to William DuVall and all in between – the man can sing, that’s for sure! Chuck in guitar work that adds the essential rock edge and you’ll be amazed that this is their debut.

Their influences range from Badlands to Audioslave and to Arena Rock at its finest, and that’s a fair description of what they've managed to create. The band have done their time in bands such as 24-7 Spyz, Cage and Tourniquet and have roped in Don Lithgow as engineer (Blink 182, New Found Glory, Finch) and the result is nothing short of impressive and is what rock radio is crying out for.

It’s got soul, it’s got some blues, it’s got the integrity of honest intact and above all, it’s simply a great rock record. Forget fashion and what’s ‘in’, Seventrain have made a record that could (and should) do some serious damage in the rock world. Although, without doubt this is a commercial album, it’s never done by numbers or is prepared to rest on its own laurels and that is its capturing edge – they never sound as if the man in the suit has told them how or what they should be doing, they simply do it from the heart - and it really does show.

Very impressive. - UberRock

Bio

Seventrain performed together for the first time in the fall of 2012 in San Diego, California at a memorial show for the late Vincent John Crudo, (otherwise known as “Big Vinnie”), who was a respected local sound technician and bass player in the Southern California area. Guitarist Eric Horton, who had previous worldwide success with his former power metal band Cage, assembled some admired local musicians to play a handful of cover songs at the memorial show. Shortly after this performance, the guys decided to record an album of material that guitarist Eric Horton and vocalist Jon Campos had been working on. Eric recruited former 24-7 Spyz (Atlantic/Eastwest Records) drummer Joel Maitoza who respectively has appeared on 22 albums to produce and play drums on the debut along with guitarist Jef Poremba (Kofi Baker, 6ONE9), vocalist Jon Campos (Dive Bomber) and bassist Greg Rupp (My Middle Finger, 6ONE9) who appeared on the CD, but was replaced by Steve (Dino) Andino (Tourniquet) shortly after the recording of the album.

Following a few months of pre-production, they started recording the debut album in the spring of 2013 at DML Studios with engineer Don Lithgow (Blink 182, New Found Glory, Finch) lovingly tracked in analog on 2” tape.

Seventrain draws from a variety of influences. When you listen to the bands music, you immediately identify with the honesty & integrity of many of the great 70's hard rock icons combined with the intensity and ability of today’s top hard rock artists. Not only does Seventrain have the ability to take rock music to the extreme, it also has the depth to create very emotional songs that send a strong universal message. The bands music transcends the trends and fads that plague today’s popular music. We feel if we truly love what we create, we hope you will too!

The bands self-titled debut album was released in the US, Europe and Japan on 2/18/2014 on their own label So Cal Records/Alliance Entertainment (available now on iTunes, Amazon and CD Baby). It also charted on the CMJ Loud Rock Top 40 charts at #36 it's first week to radio on 2/25/2014 and has been receiving favorable reviews by critics worldwide.
