TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- One die-hard FSU fan is using his talents to support Florida State football.
TaReef Knockout released his song, NOLES Hype Remix, and it's catching on.
Former FSU players like James Wilder Jr. and Jacobii McDaniel, along with potential recruits, have liked and re-tweeted the song.
Growing up as a Nole, TaReef says anyone who loves FSU can connect with the rap.
Songwriter and Rapper TaReef Knockout said, "Just the love and the passion that I put behind it, it's history and it's lyrics with it. It's a song for everybody, for kids up to alumni. Even back to the early days of when Bobby Bowden was here."

TALLAHASSEE, FL -- Our Sunrise Rocks performances continue this morning with TaReef Knockout.
The Florida native describes himself as a 'Hip Hop artist' versus a rapper. Knockout, whose real name is Jared Mabry, says as a hip hop artist, he's allowed more creativity to express himself.
His debut album, Majority Decision, is available now on iTunes, Spotify and other music providers.

He performed hits from his debut album, Majority Decision, including 'For The Kids' and 'Silver Lining'. Knockout also performed 'Noles 2.0', a song played exclusively during Florida State football games.
His upcoming performances include the FSU Hip Hop Showcase on Thursday, November 3rd.

Dr. Lisa Weinberg is a professor in the College of Social Sciences and Public Policy at Florida State, and teaches a ‘Sociology of Hip-Hop Culture’ course that covers much of the community that surrounds hip-hop. The class not only helps students define hip-hop culture but also takes a look at it’s history in America through a sociological lens. The course includes required readings, online quizzes, online assignments, group work, an album analysis project and a research paper.
Passing Dr. Weinberg’s class may not be an easy task, but she sure knows how to make it interesting and fun. She took it upon herself to find a venue here in Tallahassee that would allow her to host a free hip-hop showcases.
“I want to get the community more involved with the culture of hip-hop rather than simply hearing it on their radios,” said Dr. Weinberg.
She continues to elaborate that the artists performing are not her students, but artists that she discovered while at conventions in different states. The artists featured this past Thursday were Big Lo, DJ A to the L, Artisan P and TaReef KnockOut, who are all extremely talented independent artists.
Hip-hop artist TaReef KnockOut was the second artist to come on stage that night. KnockOut is a Tallahassee native and plays at shows all over the area. His new album Majority Decision came out this past October and is available on iTunes. KnockOut also created a single titled Noles 2.0 for our very own Florida State football team. His song is featured during home games.
TaReef KnockOut played alongside Big Lo and the DJ”s for the rest of the night. Dr. Lisa Weinberg drew a good crowd for her first event at the Garages on Gaines. She hopes to be able to make Thursday nights on Gaines a weekly event in which students can come experience all kinds of music without having to worry about paying any money.

Hip Hop and spoken word artist TaReef KnockOut (aka T.K.O.) breathes life into his name TaReef, which means “rare and uncommon” in Arabic. TaReef is both a hard working and thought-provoking lyricist, and a former all-state basketball player who also holds the all-time records for 3-pointers made in a career and in a season at Lincoln High School in Tallahassee, Florida, where TaReef graduated.
TaReef, once known as K.O., got the name KnockOut from his ability to “knockout” tracks like Mike Tyson fights. Drawing inspiration from Jazz music, conscious Reggae, and '90s Hip Hop, TaReef approaches his craft by combining his passion for music, poetry, and the arts in the most profound ways imaginable.
“I make music for anyone who genuinely loves Hip Hop. The culture and the music. We communicate through the music because music is a universal language. So when I perform or I record, I want to show people who I really am and why my passion for this runs so deep. I put a lot of thought into what I'm giving people because I want them to enjoy the experience.”
After studying music business at Full Sail University in 2013 and 2014, TaReef put his plan into action and has been on his Hip Hop knockout rampage ever since.
On October 14, 2016, TaReef released his debut album Majority Decision EP worldwide on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, and Google Play (to name a few). To commemorate the release, WTXL ABC declared it Majority Decision Day and featured TaReef performing on the Sunrise Rocks segment as well as the Lunchbox Music Special. Majority Decision EP later made its way onto 50 Cent's website thisis50.com.
“NOLES Hype Remix” by TaReef KnockOut was featured on WCTV CBS news for FSU's football team. TaReef performed the relaunched version, “NOLES 2.0” live for warchant.com on the Man Cave Show hosted by ESPN 97.9 radio personality Jeff Cameron.
TaReef KnockOut has quickly become the Hip Hop Seminole superstar, solidified when TaReef's Seminole anthem “NOLES 2.0” played throughout the 2016 FSU football season during home games at Doak Campbell Stadium.
TaReef left cool vibes and wavy impressions at the Gaines Street Festival (Tallahassee) after performing on the Jelly Stage, presented by Tallahassee titan Capital 6. The Jelly Stage featured a night full of delectable Hip Hop, soul and more, and the energy and excitement were definitely felt and seen with hyped up crowds past 2:00am.
TaReef participated in the 2016 FSU Hip Hop Showcase, hosted by professor Dr. Lisa Weinberg in conjunction with Dr. Weinberg's Sociology of Hip Hop Culture course, featuring TaReef KnockOut and other incredible Tallahassee Hip Hop artists and performers. TaReef was also featured in the FSUnews.com story detailing the showcase.
For election night 2016, Flynt Flossy rode through Tallahassee on the Turquoise Jeep Tour and was assisted locally by none other than TaReef KnockOut. TaReef followed up with a slot on the roster at Bass Parade 6, adding some hip hop flavor to the Tallahassee dance/house/electronic music night hosted by Rayrex and Phamily Ent.
Recognizing and appreciating Hip Hop as an art form and a way of life, TaReef KnockOut is exercising the resilience, dedication, power, and stamina necessary to earn his spot as an all-time Hip Hop heavyweight.
