Bio

TFP aka the Factor
Project is the evolution of our combined musical worlds (acoustical, grunge,
metal, hip hop, R&B and rock and roll). Formed in Newark, OH in October of
2011 by Shawn “Chaos” Peters and Kevin Lawson.

After
spending a year working out a set of original music and trying to find a
perfect mix of talent, chemistry, attitude, and drive in a musical entity,
bassist Aaron Moody fell into the spot perfectly! Moody joined the project
around November of 2012. TFP hit the studio to start work on the illusive first
album on December 31, 2012. The album was independently recorded and later
released in May of 2013 with the title “TFP”. No time was to be wasted.
Following their first studio session they walked onto the stage on January 5th,
2013. Things were really starting to come together and the adventure began. However
the search continued, as they still needed a fourth.

Throughout
2013 TFP auditioned, recruited, rented, borrowed and searched for the perfect
fit, the glue that would hold everything together. This was not an easy task,
but it didn’t slow them down.

18
months, 27 shows, and 16 drummers later….

Now
the year is 2014 and a hip-hop artist, Kronik, has come all the way from
Parkersburg, WV to bring the intrinsic, hypnotic beats that help to evolve TFP
into a rock-poetry fusion. Borrowing a kit from his old high school to
audition, Kronik showed up more drive and determination than any of the
previous candidates. Taking time to listen to each song and study it until it
became second nature to play.

Finally
TFP was whole and it was time to turn on the heat. “The goal is for a
sustainable musical career” says Moody. “Fame would be awesome, but honestly we
don’t care as long as we get to write and share our music.” Hard work and
dedication seemed to come naturally with everything they approached. 2014 was
no less of a year than the one before. TFP put another 28 shows under their
belt, 9 of those were just in August that year. Rolling into 2015 TFP hit the
studio to begin work on “Evolution”.

“Prepare
your minds, your ears and eyes for what is to happen next. We are after one
thing and one thing alone: to be heard. So sit back and enjoy the ride! This
story is just beginning.  Let’s fill some
ears and souls with music and maybe even a little inspiration.” -TFP
