"Standing on the Shoulders of Giants"

The Novi Giants are the next big thing coming out of New England. Jeana Marie (lead guitar), JP (bass), Jeff (percussion) and Soso (frontman/vocals) are making a lot of noise on the Indie scene and have become staples in pubs, clubs, and venues across the area. Their ability to move crowds can be attributed to the group’s unyielding work ethic. Music to The Novi Giants is more than just hitting the studio. They spend a lot of countless hours honing their performance skills (you know exactly what I mean if you’ve ever seen them perform live) and The Novi Giants put forth a grand performance on any stage they grace. It all starts with the stage; the rest as they say is history.

The Novi Giants are forging their own path to musical greatness with their latest single “Need That”. This is one of those songs that if you hear to once, you’ll be singing all day. It is a bona fide earworm with loads of Top 40 potential. The song’s genre is sort of enigmatic; its part Rock, part Pop, part Garage, part Alternative, part Indie, (you catch my drift) and 100% pure dope! Regardless of how you’d classify it, this song is fiyah! What makes this song so good is its foundational instrumentation and the solid vocals. The song’s arrangement and energetic hook are easy to digest and sing along with.

You owe it to yourself to get your hands on The Novi Giants’ “Need That”. Consider it a well deserved appetizer for your ears while we await The Novi Giants to release more vibrant energetic material. You can thank me later! - Amped Sounds

"2015 Rock Hunt Wildcard!"

Novi Giants, a Providence-based four-piece band brings some much-needed Indie Dance jams to the local music scene. The band members each have their own unique musical tastes and backgrounds, but their music is a cohesive and collaborative effort. Novi Giants’ complex sound combines vocal harmonies, captivating lyrics, catchy guitar riffs, and progressive rhythms. Also worth noting, their music video for their song “Need That” is extremely random, but extremely fun. - wbrumedia

Bio

The Novi Giants began as a collaborative writing project between Harrison (Soso) Songolo and Jeana Marie upon meeting in late November of 2013. A full band was always the end goal and the two quickly began searching for the remaining members to complete the ensemble. After harmoniously meeting Jeff Castelli, and John Patrick the group got to work completing a full set of original music.

The group fully formed in the winter of 2014 and developed a unique genre fusing sound by drawing on the various musical backgrounds and tastes of the members. The Novi Giants performed frequently in many venues across the Rhode Island area and further developed their sound with each performance.

In the course of that year they've recorded at New England Tech and Triad Recording complex, released a music video "Need That" with Amped Sounds, were featured in The Rhode Show's Big Break Contest, competed in WBRU's Rock Hunt Wildcard Round, and competed in StrangeCreek’s Battle of the Bands.

In 2015 the group said good bye to Jeana and Jeff as they split off to form Great Gale. Harrison and John Patrick continued on and performed with various members of the Rhode Island music community. During this time they produced independent recordings and music videos for Satisfaction, Still Here, and Another.

A car accident changed everything in 2016, The Novi Giants future looked grim. John Patrick had sustained a minor spinal injury that caused him a lot of pain. With tight and sore back muscles preventing John from playing he decided that it would be best if he took a break from Music to give himself time to heal. Early 2017 John Patrick played his last show with The Novi Giants. Saying goodbye to an original member was a tough blow that Harrison Songolo had to endure. But Harrison’s courage and determination drove him to pursuing his dream of make music and creating a legendary band.

The pursuit of a music career had sprung into action, Harrison was finishing up his last year at New England Tech with a Bachelors degree in Digital Media Production. As the year 2017 wound down, Harrison had a plan to release the bands first acoustic album “Brave.“ The album was released in April 2018 with the help of a new member, drum and percussionist Joel Moran. With a new direction and determination The Novi Giants have a new wave of positivity that they want to share with the world.

Currently The Novi Giants are working on their first full album, starting with a new original song called Arctic Animals. The band plans on releasing one song at a time while they grow there fan base and social media network. Harrison Songolo has both feet on the gas pedal and is not stopping any time soon.
