From early death metal pioneers Obituary, Massacre, and Morbid Angel, to more traditional metal like Savatage and Iced Earth, Tampa, has long been known as the metal epicenter of the world. Growing up in the Tampa metal scene of the mid 80s, Joe Kiser cut his teeth playing in hardcore band Slap Of Reality, and later Murder-Suicide Pact and Florida punk legends No Fraud, but his first love was metal. Pushing the boundaries of heavy music, The Path transcend labels. Drawing from doom, psyche, industrial and stoner influences, they have forged a sound all their own. Kiser has teamed up once again with fellow Tampa veteran Gregg Moore (No Fraud, Slap Of Reality Psycho Tribe, and The Darling Fire) on bass. Rounding out the lineup, is none other than Kiser’s son, Joey Kiser Jr., on guitar, vocals and drum programming. Their 2019 self-titled release is currently available on all streaming services, and a full-length LP is scheduled for release in late 2019/early 2020.
