Bio
The Electric Farm is taking soft pop into a folky space rock situation.
Imagine a trail that traverses the atmospheric sounds of Nick Drake, the heartfelt emotion of Neil Young, the quirky storytelling of The Kinks and you'll get an inkling of the irresistible sound of The Electric Farm.
Singer-songwriter Joey Mutis is known as an exceptional songwriting talent with a gift for evoking feelings and moods. With a quiet style reminiscent of British folk rock, his music elicits similarities with indie/folk/Americana songwriters such as Ron Sexsmith, Fleet Foxes, Elliott Smith, Wilco, and others—often with undertones of Brazilian, psychedelic, and jazz sensibilities.
Several original songs are featured in television (NUMB3RS, One Tree Hill, Happy Endings, Drive) and film (Drive Me Crazy). His song “Man of the Town” was called “one of my favorite songs by anybody” by Philly folk legend Gene Shay.
