The Undeclared

In the fall of 2012 the band's members began playing together in various musical groups and events at Cedarville University. Eventually the band members began leading worship together and continued to grow closer as a group, which led to the decision in 2013 to formally name themselves and continue to make music and lead worship together under one banner. In December of 2013 the band recorded it's debut project, The Undeclared EP, which released in May of 2014.  

The name "The Undeclared" speaks to a longing for a restoring of humanity. It carries with it the urgency found in the awaiting for the restoration and embracing of human identity found in Christ. Inspired by the thought of receiving a new and restored identity, The Undeclared is a name which implies the waiting for the declaring of a new name.

"Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches. To everyone who is victorious I will give some of the manna that has been hidden away in heaven. And I will give to each one a white stone, and on the stone will be engraved a new name that no one understands except the one who receives it." Revelation 2:17
