"Watch For Horses - Staying true to their roots and musicality."

" 'I really like [Watch for Horses] because they sound like The Strokes,' said actress and Cal State Long Beach graduate Isabel Davila. 'The Strokes have really lost it so listening to bands that can still keep that late 90s, early 2000s sound is really fresh and enjoyable.' - DIG Magazine

"Artist to Watch: Watch For Horses"

[On their latest single, 'Envy.']

"The song effortlessly combines the energy of punk rock wrapped in lead guitar melodies reminiscent of The Strokes while seamlessly transitioning into dance beats that have a similar energy of Two Door Cinema Club." - Tumbling Music

"Listen: Watch For Horses - Envy"

We’re pretty much down for anything that transports us back to 1995 and “Envy” from Norwalk, CA indie band, Watch For Horses, did just that. “Envy” is the first track off of the band’s upcoming EP out this spring via Wiretap Records. - The Daily Listening

Bio

Formed in 2011 in Norwalk, CA, a quiet suburb of Los Angeles, Watch for Horses gained a rapidly growing fan base in just a few short years. WFH has played shows at venues such as, The Slidebar Rock N Roll Kitchen, Viper Room, Troubadour, The Roxy, Saint Rocke, The Whiskey, and the iconic House of Blues in Anaheim!

Quickly garnering the local scene’s attention, the band released The Evil Kid, EP in October 2013, through a fully funded Indiegogo campaign. The EP soon found it’s way into the hands of LA’s The World Famous KROQ DJ Kat Corbett, who began to regularly spin the single “Open Sea” in her KROQ Locals Only radio show. “Open Sea” would see regular rotation within the show, included in the Top 5 songs for 9 consecutive weeks.
That same month, Watch For Horses was selected as 1 of 5 local bands to perform at the Vans Warped Tour on the Ernie Ball stage in Pomona.

The band has released a split 7” record via Wiretap Records, which was followed by a short west coast tour. Watch for Horses released their second EP in early 2016 and are currently at work on new music for 2017.
