Bio

FIRES are a collaboration between four Seattle rockers, Ty Willman, Alan Hunt, Regan Hagar, and Dave Place.
Their individual styles, histories and influences have gathered
to form a maelstrom of rock fury. Once you are in its path, you are forced to become part of it.

Ty Willman is an enigmatic and energetic vocalist who has fronted the Seattle bands Inspector Luv & The Ride Me Babies,
Green
Apple Quick Step, Novatone and Nine50nine as well as collaborating with
many other Seattle musicians on various projects over the years.
His
voice has a unique quality that is at once soft and soothing and a
moment later, powerful in a way seldom heard. His versatility has yet to
be fully explored.

Regan Hagar is a name synonymous with Seattle
drumming at it hard hitting best. A founding member of the bands
Malfunkshun, Satchel, Brad and Buffaloes,
he is credited as one of
the founders of the heavy sound that has made Seattle a city of rock.
Armed with an ability to bring the softest touch to a beat, with an
undercurrent that promises in the next moment, the entire song could
explode into the heaviest you've ever heard. The promise delivered again
and again
in each project he has been involved in.

Alan Hunt
hails from Charlotte, Michigan. His eventual drift into Seattle was
fueled by a wanderlust and a desire to play with whoever, wherever and
whenever he
could. He randomly met Ty and, after hearing him sing,
famously commented " Hey man, you could be a real singer! " The two
collaborated in Ty's bands
Mass Sugar as well as Nine50nine. He was previously in a band called McDicken, a story that remains, unfinished...

Dave
Place moved from The Bay Area to Seattle in the summer of 93'. A fan of
all things heavy, he recognized that the size of Seattle was far
smaller in direct proportion
to the amount of kickass rock that was
coming out of the city. He knew he had to be there. Upon arrival, he
quickly found a band to join and,
days later, found himself on stage
at MOE opening a sold out Satchel show. The decision to go North would
continue to be a wise one.
