Dove and Amaruka met at a spiritual crossroads. From the very first night the story of their cosmic union was captured & recorded through song.. The special alchemy between them led to not only a story of true love, but also a new musical project that they titled “Winged Cobra”.
For 25 years, Dove Mosis has been immersed in the depths of Hip Hop culture. His most prominent element is the craft of lyricism & freestyle rapping, while also being well versed in beat production, videography & studio engineering. He is the founding architect of the Hip Hop Medicine record label which was established in 2012. The label has made a name for itself through its special events & unique collaborations expressing the medicinal powers of Hip Hop. Dove has worked with many of the most legendary lyricists including Brother J XClan , Myka9, Killah Priest, KRS ONE, Sticman of Dead Prez, Supa NovaSlom & many more.
Amaruka Sol has had a lifelong passion for music & dance, as well as deep connection with the spiritual realms. She has spent over 10 years traveling & performing at various festivals & events across the West Coast such as Symbiosis, Lucidity Festival, Beloved, & Serenity Gathering. After an injury to her spine, she was initiated into opening her voice & exploring healing through sound. She has been sharing & honing her craft as a vocalist, singing in medicine ceremonies, live looping & curating sonic soundscapes & transmissions.
Together they are the creative force that gave birth to the Winged Cobra. There is an immediate recognition of an ancient connection that inspires their unique sound. Woven with prophetic knowledge & wisdom, winged cobra is a glimpse into a new reality. In balancing the sacred masculine and feminine their story represents divine union, thus the title of their first ep being titled “Hieros Gamos”. Each of their songs is a medicine capsule that activates the cellular dna & taps directly into the essence of one's soul.
