Bio

Christopher Webster, also known by his stage name X24, is extremely driven – mostly driven crazy by a barrage of thoughts and inner monologues – but driven nonetheless. He is an insomniac dreamer writing rhymes in a state of awakened sleep, simultaneously patient and ADD, leaving his listeners feeling strung-out, amused, and inspired. Silence scares him; he can’t sit still, and he paces when he talks. And talk he does… a lot.

Who is X24, and why should we care? Webster, who splits his time between his hometown of Santa Fe, NM, Los Angeles, and New York, is a self-aware observer of contemporary American life with a sense of sardonic absurdity. He takes everything seriously– except himself– with a razor sharp edge and enough energy to be his own hype man. With over fifteen years working as a rapper, songwriter, producer, and artist, he brings an informed viewpoint and encyclopedic knowledge of hip-hop, and music in general, to his work. Taking aim at today’s pop culture, the music industry, and of course himself, he provides relevant commentary on social, societal, and personal trends and beliefs through the lens of his own neurotic obsessions. Severely overlooked and criminally under appreciated in his former incarnations, this tenacious impresario is ready to do battle once again… this time with insufferable, narcissistic hipsters squarely in his crosshairs.

X24’s new debut single and irreverent video, Hipster Apocalypse, serves as a scathing social commentary of the cooler-than-you attitude and “need to be different just to fit in” paradigm of the hipster. This serious parody will leave you simultaneously ROTFL and shaking your head at the ridiculous hilarity of how far today’s youth have fallen.

No one, perhaps not even X24, knows where this musical tsunami will hit next, but once the buzz and indelible imprint of Hipster Apocalypse has been firmly stamped on indie nation, all eyes for sure will be on X24 to see what shenanigans he brews up next.
